“Are You Living or Existing?” Book Review

Published on May 1, 2013 by

Kimanzi's BookThis week, I have the privilege of sharing a newly released book by Kimanzi Constable, "Are you Living or Existing? 9 Steps to Change Your Life."

I met Kimanzi through Dan Miller's 48days.net group where people who are pursuing a variety of goals and passions come together to encourage one another.  Lots of mentoring and learning go on in the forums (it's a VERY good place and I highly recommend that you check it out:  http://www.48days.net )

Kimanzi has written a book based on his own life circumstances from going unhappily existing as someone who had settled in his job and his relationships to enthusiastically living out his dreams- in vocation, relationships and health.

What sets Kimanzi apart is not his former life circumstances.  He was  like a lot of people are:  unhappy at work, overweight, dissatisfied with life and unable to reach the goals he wanted to.

What changed was Kimanzi's attitude and determination to not let the way life was determine how life would continue.

So he made some changes.

Lost some weight.

Started a business.

Got back in touch with his dreams.

Step by little baby step.

Now he is working full time in work he loves and is much healthier.  He and his lovely wife are raising their children, living a full life and continuing to pursue more dreams.

Kimanzi wants do this little thing called changing the world.  His passion is palatable.  In the intro, Kimanzi says,

If you're not happy with your life, and you want to make a change, then this is the right place.  Realize that this book will not magically cure all your problems in life; I'm sorry I just don't have that ability.  However, this book will not only give you a plan to change your life, but also teach you to enjoy the journey.

He's written a book about how he made the transition.  He wants to share it with you.  Kimanzi lists the process that worked for him.

And, because he is such a generous guy he is giving away bonus material when you buy the book and forward the receipt to him.  You can find out more about the bonuses here:  http://kimanziconstable.com/are-you-living-or-existing/

Note:  You can find the book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble (website) and Barnes & Noble physical locations.

Who this book is for:  If you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward or make traction in your goals, this book can help you identify your goals and move forward. This book is for people who have settled in life but their spirit keeps whispering (very quietly) you were made for more than this.  Kimanzi is very encouraging and lays down the plan that worked for him.

We all feel stuck.   Sometimes we need to stop and be still for a bit, quiet the frantic running of our minds and get some perspective.   Kimanzi was able to move from existing to living with purpose.  This book is his story.

Who this book is not for:  If you are already in middle of working your dreams and making progress- you probably don't need this book.  Launch girl, just keep planting.   You're doing the work, keep the focus.

Let's do a Giveaway I do have one copy of the book I would love, love, love to giveaway.  I'm sorry- it's not attached to the bonuses (but it's a freebie for you, my friend!)

To enter to win "Are you Living or Existing" by Kimanzi Constable, leave a comment and tell me one thing you are working towards.  It could be anything- finally planting the garden, working through a novel, starting an Etsy store, picking up freelance work, teaching a class, taking a class, listening to a podcasts- anything that is helping you become the person you want to be.

I'll have the contest open until this Friday, May 3.
